Day 1: Welcome to Auckland

Transfer from the airport to your accommodation. This evening an evening welcome reception will your Tour Director & fellow travellers followed by dinner.

Hotel: VR Queen Street, Auckland.

Day 2: Auckland – Bay of Islands

Departing  Auckland you travel along the Hibiscus Coast to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Upon arrival you will join a scenic cruise through game fishing waters to Cape Brett and, weather permitting, through the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’ formation. Cruise back to Paihia through picturesque islands.

Day 3: Bay of Islands ‘Free Time’

Today is free to enjoy as you wish. You  may like to take an optional trip to Cape Reinga via idyllic 90 Mile Beach or take a trip to historic Russell. B

Day 4: Bay of Islands – Auckland

Before journeying back to Auckland the largest city in New Zealand you have the opportunity to visit the Waitangi Treaty Reserve, which has historical importance as it is where New Zealand’s founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, was signed.

Day 5: Auckland – Rotorua

Before making your way to Rotorua you will have a city sights tour of Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city.Tracing the Waikato River you travel to Waitomo Caves were a tour Glow Worm Grotto tour awaits. Upon arrival Rotorua, you’ll take in views of Lake Rotorua and more on your orientation tour.

Tonight you will enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi feast and concert for an insight into Maori culture at the Tamaki Family Marae.

Day 6: Rotorua

A visit to the  Agrodome sheep Show to gain an insight into agriculture in New Zealand. Then the afternoon is at leisure. You may like to visit Te Puia which will provide an insight into the Maroi, the traditional people of New Zealand and there carving skills together with the importance of thermal hot springs to the Maori. B

Day 7: Rotorua – Wellington

Travelling south you will enjoy views of  Huka Falls, drive along the shores of New Zealand’s biggest lake, Lake Taupo, admire the alpine scenery of Mt. Ruapehu, Tongariro National Park and the dairy farms of Manawatu, before making your way into Wellington, New Zealand’s capital. An evening dinner to celebrate your holiday with new-found friends and your Tour Director.

Day 8: Farewell from Wellington

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Wellington which includes panoramic views of Mt Victoria. Visit Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand and explore the fascinating exhibits at your leisure, including their unique Marae or Maori Meeting House. You will be transferred to Wellington Airport to connect with your onward journey. B
